In this episode, KMM host Arlene Holt discusses with Alan M. Voorhees Transportation Center SeniorResearch Specialist, Sean Meehan how the Safe Routes to School Program in Highland Park, with broad support from elected officials, lead to the creation of the Safe Walking & cycling committee, how they worked to create temporary bike lanes and implement other safety measures, that eventually lead to the creation of a bicycle and pedestrian plan that was incorporated into the township’s masterplan.
